My knowledge of Greek folk music doesn’t really extend further than the group that used to rehearse behind the place I grew up in as a kid, and Xylouris White sounds nothing like them! In my mind this is a group that sits in line with a vein of free jazz/rock alongside Bill Orcutt and Chris Corsano collabs, Pharaoh Sanders, or Albert Ayler.
No Sisyphean feat to listen to this one!
