Velocette - Discotheque Saudades 2LP

Gonna be honest here. I find navigating the high-turnover world of dance music a bit overwhelming. I want to be across-it but usually just retreat to my safe spaces of Jamal Moss, Footwork, UR, Dance Mania etc.

That's why it's so nice to have A Colourful Storm label head Mr Moopie in the driver's seat, safely chauffeuring me to this wonderful 2x12" collection of ambient-techno from San Francisco's Velocette.

To my idiot ear Velocette is rooted in the Detroit approach, but with a distinctively less menacing, cosmic (or kosmische?) bent. Expanding upon the Techno landscape, while feeling warm and joyous. No computer coding vibes here!
