Having finally been to Japan a few years ago I don't really get Lost in Translation (the movie) now, the way I did when it first came out. As much as I like watching Bill Murray moping around a fancy hotel it's probably because it plays up to the stereotype of being an "outsider" there and I felt right at home. It's basically paradise for geeks. Especially record collecting ones. Anyway, I still like the soundtrack.
