The Dark - Dressing The Corpse LP

Scat digging up teenage punk energy from the archives with a collection of The Dark’s unreleased and live/radio recordings from the early 1980s! 

I guess I’d first heard The Dark on the Cleveland Confidential comp, but only really registered them as a group while reading Eric Davidson’s fantastic interview with guitarist Robert Griffin on the Please Kill Me blog a couple of years ago charting the development of the group into Spike In Vain some years later.

A hell of a lot of meat on the bones of this band for a bunch of kids starting at 11 years old, with an urgency that comes with that age and hints of the open-ended (ie. beyond meat-and-potatoes) playing that you can hear at the root of SIV.
