The Strange Girls took the noise rocking of Armpit in a somewhat more song based direction between 1999 and 2001, playing what Clayton Noone in the liner notes refers to as “clean, chord-based, country rock songs.” Swells of minor chord guitar strum, cracked tape distortion, and muffled vocals as though Love Chants were covering Kitchens Floor or the Dead C were backing Stefan Christensen.
