RSD20. Mike Myers ultra-mod 60s spy spoof Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery skillfully pulls humor from the differences and similarities between the 60s and 90s; unsurprisingly the soundtrack balances and wryly reworks pop hits from both eras. The original Burt Bacharach songs sound great, yet there some retro-style gems, ranging from the funky acid jazz of the James Taylor Quartet to the Lightning Seeds trip-hop reworking of the Turtles You Showed Me. In other words, its nearly fab.
