Sonic Youth - Rather Ripped LP

I reckon those late-career indie rockin’ records that Sonic Youth put out stack up pretty nicely against most other indie rock bands of the era. But as a teen I probably didn’t give Rather Ripped the time of day it deserves (other than Incinerate) because my crappy laptop disc drive at the time caved while I was ripping the CD to my iPod and I wound up with a weird skipping sound somewhere around the third or fourth track that used to annoy me to no end. Maybe it’s time to revisit, or maybe I’ll need to put a scratch in a copy of the record to make it feel more familiar?
