REASKI features a mix of veterans and fresh new faces of Melbourne punk, all of whom immigrated from South East Asia. The fact that the band formed around this shared-experience and sing in the Bahasa language has given this project more personality and sense of purpose than knowing the cool UK82 bands.
The tuneful gang vocals remind me of a person favourite of the Riot City/No Future sect, Abrasive Wheels. Situate this melodic talent with a scrappy, slight KBD-ish energy and you've got a winning combo.
