For the (like me til now) uninitiated, this one sounds like an alternate reality Royal Headache who mellowed out and took up a weekly residency at a Memphis bar. Earnest and heartfelt songs buoyed by strong melodies but with arrangements that remind me of alt-countryish dad rock groups like The Minus 5 or Being There-era Wilco.
