Reekmind - Glints from the Crematorium 12"

On first (typographic) glance of this record, the “Reekmind” logo connotes Death Metal, and the majestic ornamentation on the “Glints from the Crematorium” title screams Doom. And that’s what you’re getting here: Sydney’s Reekmind play sludgy Death-Doom. Since the release of their debut LP ‘Mired in the Reek of Grief’ (2025) the band have developed their sound into something more twisted, languid and distinctive, with an extra dose anguished atmosphere. A pleasure to have another quality local release in our very international Metal section. – Nic
