Sometimes it's harder to convey what you love about a band when you've got too much context and personal experience. I first saw Red Red Krovvy play in my parents house, at least 13 years ago. I think they are the greatest band to emerge from my hometown of Cairns.
On their second bona-fide full length, RRK maintain their formative identity of three high school friends starting a punk band but with a hardened (and occasionally hilarious) world view.
Their earlier records spoke to a lineage of Australian 'Murder Punk' groups (Razar, Victims, Suicide Squad) and while that Punk-into-Hardcore sound still exists, their astute social observations slot them somewhere near Watery Love, Good Throb, Cold Meat and The Homostupids.
