Another killer addition to a string of dubwise and etherial records that have been released the past couple of years.
Princess Diana of Wales’ self titled LP seems to erode away songs, leaving ghostly vocalisations, a metronome for rhythm, sparse guitar lines, floating synth patches, and the odd pulse of sub bass.
Something here makes me think of it alongside Th Blisks’ latest, with its nods to ghosts of trip hops past (Portishead/Beth Orton), while inserting these into a more surreal musical landscape. One to file alongside YL Hooi, Troth, HTRK, or Superstar!
