Nick Drake - Pink Moon LP

I was first introduced to Nick Drake’s Pink Moon by my Yr 10 English teacher who lent me a copy of it on CD. I remember returning it to him in class the next week and remarking that it should be illegal to lend such a depressing album to schoolkids.

But all these years on (and now that the teen angst has largely dissipated…), I can’t help but think how beautiful and surreal the album is. One that although it’s short, I can keep on returning to and finding something new buried in there. Thanks to Mr. Catanzariti for giving me an in to UK folk all those years ago!
