Late in 2023, whilst taking a little break from working on the CD3 album with the fantastic Cooper Bowman, I channelled this song, THE PERILS. I say "channelled" because it basically wrote itself, with nods to that band Germans can't pronounce and to www.discogs.com/artist/5047-Hood.
I always wanted to make a 7" but never had the right song for it, one that's not an album or a compilation song but wants to stand by itself. Here it was...almost.
Some 2,5 years of steady tweaking later, and thanks to the help of the fantastic Jude Hagan (vocals) and the fantastic Roxane Métayer (strings), it eventually became what it wanted to be.
Rosalía has "Berghain", Nein Rodere has this.
Once the THE PERILS was done, the two little sibling songs cropped up like croci in February. They are comfortable in stretching the Nein Rodere parameters, as B-Sides should.
