In the hundreds, maybe thousands of descriptions I've written for the shop I don't think I've ever had a record bring to mind one of my all time favourite songs.... George Clinton's Atomic Dog. It's not a straight comparison, but the spontaneous charisma of Nappy Nappa's vocals and P Cain's busted-but-funky electronics have got me doing the dogcatcher, feeling like that, chasing the cat etc.
Imagine Quasimoto (as in the Madlib project, not the hunchback) meets Eric Copeland. It's the fusion of weird/underground Hip Hop (Sensational, Spectre, Def Jux etc) and the rhythmic outgrowths of Load Records-adjacent trestle tables full of circuit bent electronic gear I did not know I needed! - Nic
