Modal Melodies - Modal Melodies LP

A new project from the duo of Violetta Del Conte-Race (Primo!/The Glass Picture) and Jake Robertson (Alien Nosejob/Ausmuteants/etc), Modal Melodies offers up a slice of 80s synth pop but without the dress-ups. 

Simple melodies on synths and guitar with washes of drum machine and floating vocals that remind me of the homespun creakiness of Young Marble Giants, the casual pop mastery of Karen Marks, a bedroom project rethink of Blondie, and the more electronic explorations of Total Control and Mikey Young.
