Written as Australia was ravaged by bushfires in early 2020, MAD WORLD is a record that reflects the dreamlike entropy of its environments, a melange of industrial electronics and pop sensibility that plays like a set beamed in from a post-apocalyptic outback club. Surreal and twisted, it's an EP that lives by the logic of its guiding theme, a quote taken from Akira Kurosawa's 1985 film Ran: 'In a mad world, only the mad are sane.'
