Leon Thomas - Spirits Known And Unknown: New Vocal Frontiers LP

I know yodelling isn’t everyone’s cup of musical tea, but man, you can’t top Leon Thomas.

Best known around these parts for his feature on Pharoah Sanders’ Jewels of Thoughts LP and his track The Creator Has A Master Plan (which features on this collection, with Sanders playing throughout under the a pseudonym), I reckon as divisive as he is, Thomas adds a perfect vocal mirror to Sanders’ smooth meets skronk and warble.
