Kurt Vile - Smoke Ring For My Halo LP

A decade on from it’s release and I’m still vibing Smoke Ring. KV’s best in my opinion, with a perfect balance of songs, rockers, and hazy folkie ballads.

But maybe more important to me personally was how this album and pouring over the liner notes/press photos/interviews as a teen opened my ears to a whole lot of other stuff, from John Fahey to Meg Baird, Richie Records, Watery Love, Michael Hurley, and more. Thanks Kurt!
