It's near 15 years since DOOMSAYER (Guitars/Bass/Vocals/Synth) last collaborated with long-time comrade HELLAEON (Drums). Previously conspiring in Adelaide based bands such as Suffering, Beyond Mortal Dreams, ONI and Darklord, 2024 wrought a desire to construct something dark and primal between them.

HELLSTORM APOCALYPSE delivers five tracks and just under 30 minutes of destructive, dark black/death metal, including a cover of ARMOURED ANGEL’s ‘Hymn of Hate’. Thick, churning riffs, righteous guitar solos and dynamic synth passages combine to create insidiously aphotic soundscapes. Hellaeon’s return from the abysses is scored by a violent combination of signature Hellaeon blasts encased in heavy, bone jarring strikes. Pure manic furiosity; whilst Doomsayer’s trademark cavernous, yet varied vocal range, rounds out the bands overall suffocating density.
