Heavenly Bodies were an unknown entity to us, but as their self released LP was on the Richie Records wholesale list you know it’s got something going for it. This Philly instrumental trio fit into the American underground free rock/folk tradition with a side of industrial kraut. If I was played this record blindfolded I might’ve guessed it’s a Bardo Pondo side project, or something from the Connecticut crew (Mountain Movers, Headroom etc), Blank Realm returning to soundtrack music, or some mid 90s Drag City rarity potentially featuring Mick Turner. Very nice! - Nic
