Rock music in the 21st Century, like painting, is a medium caught up in its own past, surface, and internal bickering. Both are passe and historical. Both have people clambering to claim that they’re dead and just as many have claimed to have brought them back to life.

Green Horse are a rock band named after a painting. Rather than desecrating or resurrecting the corpse, they prefer to grave rob it, stealing the schlock of Robert Quine on tour with Lou in 1984, the cracked mystery of early Drag City, the Ragged Glory of Neil, and the murky clatter of Albert’s Basement.

Between Stops was recorded in blown out hardcore demo style fidelity to various mobile phone microphones at the Boom Boom Room and Midnight Special, and mixed by Jac.
