Grinding crustcore is not what you expect when you think of Darwin. A northern, isolated Australian city. They where bombed extensively in WW2 , and destroyed again in 1974 by Cyclone Tracy. I like to think you can hear the influence of bomb blasts and destructive winds from those disasters in this record. The cover is an image of the city after the Cyclone. It kicks off with a few seconds of static before the mayhem is unleashed. If you are familiar with Australian grind core, and you should be, this record is what I imagine the Open Wound/ Captain Cleanoff split 7" would sound like if it was left in the Northern Territory sun for 20 years, and the warps and distortions, through some sort of ancient unknown alchemy, caused the grooves to re-configure into a new ear destroying record.
