"The opening moments on this unrelenting debut album sound like The Night Rider screeching down the freeway in his suicide machine before ultimately meeting a chaotic demise. Not unlike the seminal Mad Max villain, EYESORES are hell-bent on angst & anger based catharsis all the while refusing to brood through the chorus-pedal driven tension & opt for melody to convey the sinister yet vulnerable delivery. An approach not too dissimilar from angular aficionados Wipers or The Chamelons or even contemporaries Red Dons or DIAT. The jarring hooks & soaring arrangements(particularly on the B Side opener 'Golden Soil') showcases their ability to approach deeper themes whilst still remaining assured & unique." - Phase 2
