Don Herbert - Ekow LP

The new record by Don Herbert is a 6-track collection of Lo-fi BGM and emotions, written and recorded through late night sessions of instrumental experiments in a backyard studio of Carlton North in 2021. Processing saxophone through outboard effects; using analog and digital synths to produce meditative tones; modular units to colour and animate the instruments; drum machines and various organic percussion to create a backdrop to a wide emotional spectrum. From stumbling saxophone lines over disjointed rhythms, to weathered synth chords and collages, Ekow soundtracks the nightly paths through one's mind. - The Searchers
