Dom’n’the Wizards, sure plays a mean rock’n’roll.
Dom & The Wizards return for a 2nd LP on Brisbane’s finest Tenth Court with some real post-Dylan pop surrealist lyricism that weaves thru both contemporary and mythological touch points (but not in an annoying Nick Cave kinda way). Rather it nods towards the 60s theatrical (rock opera?) writing off The Kinks, The Who, Country Joe & The Fish.
But done in a way that recalls a rickety, jangly Australiana of groups like Dag, Prefect, or Dom’s other band Wireheads!
