It feels like a week doesn’t go by without another group that sounds like Devo releasing a new album. But what about an album of Devo covers that sound nothing like Devo?

Trust store favourite David Nance to give the blues/country rock treatment to Devo’s 2nd album. After covering a bunch of classic records (and receiving a cease & desist letter from the Stones) Devo’s next in line for the Nance treatment. Banjos? Mandolins? Woozier shredder moments? Yes please. After so much focus on Devo’s aesthetic and conceptualism, something about this rethink makes me realise how they were also great songwriters!
