David Nance - Don't Take That Way, That Way's A Mess : Outtakes 2020-2024 CS

One of the best to be doing it at the moment, David Nance gives us a peek under the songwriting hood. Collecting outtakes from the previous four or so years in and around the writing of Mowed Sound, there’s still a lot of gold left on the cutting room floor!

Busted phone recordings with the allure of lo-fi tape murk (let’s face it, the phone is the portable cassette recorder of the 21st Century!!), this collection traces the path that we know and love from Nance: VU chug meets CCR choogle meets rusty AOR-leanings. To my ear, this is all new material (apart from a take of Pure Evil off of 2016’s Pure Evil), recorded all solo with a one off cameo from his kid!
