Eno departed Roxy Music in 1972 to record this amazing debut with the help of great Brit rock talents like Robert Fripp, Chris Spedding and Phil Manzanera. Includes such forward-thinking art rock touchstones as Needles in the Camel's Eye; Baby's on Fire; Driving Me Backwards and more.
I would like to publicly confess that I’ve stupidly slept on Eno for too long… Something about the earnestness of his writing around ambience (and maybe an expectation that everyone’s gotta love Eno) turned me off him years ago and stopped me looking into the non-ambient records.
BUT I atone for my sins, and am currently serving my penance by listening to Here Come The Warm Jets, what a ridiculous (and ridiculously good) album!
