Neil Young – Harvest LP
Neil Young – Harvest LP
You can’t make it into the ditch without being in the middle of the road at least for a passing moment. And as far as middle of the road albums go, this has gotta be the best!
I remember having a conversation with Damien a few years ago in the shop where we were trying to figure out what album has been listened to the most in record stores, and I feel like we settled on Harvest. Easy enough to listen to that it wasn’t gonna drive anyone away, with enough hits that people keep on listening, with cred that appeals to a certain male baby-boomer into Gen-X record collector crowd, and it’s been around long enough to garner a hell of a lot of listens.
Ever since then I’ve felt too self conscious to play it in here whilst we’re open….
