A well balanced split LP showcasing two somewhat brooding Melbourne acts deserving a touch of limelight...

I have lots of fond memories seeing Bonnie Mercer play. As far back as 15 years ago in Grey Daturas, or as recently as earlier this year in Michal Beach's band. Here we have an incredibly honed and masterful approach to Earth-like guitar drone miniatures.

YLP is Joshua Wells (aka Nerve) and Harry Schwind with a sound founded around drum machine, guitar, synth, voice and a good helping of reverb.

No doubt there's a touch of sophitsi-gutter-rock Melbourne is known for but with enough M.O.B. reality / inzane depravity that steers it far away from tired and well towards wired.
