Nerve Quakes second album, 'Deprogram' is the long awaited follow up to their 2017 debut 'A New State' which received universal praise and radio airplay in a dozen countries, establishing the band worldwide and leaving their unique imprint on those in tune with their sound and ideologies.Delayed due to a variety of reasons, 'Deprogram' finally sees the light of day, except there is not much light at the end of 2020 in the midst of a global meltdown and in some ways, this album lands at just the right time as a fitting soundtrack to the oppressive and fearful world we now find ourselves in. 'Deprogram' immediately shows a slight change in sound from the start but the change is only subtle and feels like the band has grown and evolved in the 3 years between both LP's.At times, melodic to the point of permanent earworm, the album opens with the stark and cold 'Void' which broods and builds before a hauntingly catchy chorus explodes out of nowhere.
