The third LP from Mess Esque—the duo of Mick Turner (Dirty Three) and Helen Franzmann (McKisko)—sees them continue on with their atmospheric and woozy songwriting. Songs that extend and loop back upon themselves, with a trading of melodies (shifting from lyrics to lyrical playing?) and a dynamic ebb and flow.
