CD.
Another new LP from Claire Rousay that ties together the quotidian with the compositional. Resting somewhere between ambience, sound collage, and field recording, the album teems with lush and enveloping synths and electronics, piano melodies, acoustic guitar interludes, half utterances, and ASMR miked everyday objects (a pair of scissors cutting through paper become surprisingly textural).
Music that could be listened to in the vein of Satie’s Furniture Music or Eno’s Ambience, but packs a weighty emotional punch when it cuts through.
