Perhaps best know as the first US band signed to Factory Records, this Ike Yard LP collects a series of recordings the group put together at the end of their first stint (with studio time lined up c/o Madonna in her adjacent to No Wave days).
These tracks feel further out to what I remember Ike Yard sounding. Throbbing synth loops and free form “lead lines” (for lack of a better term), skittering drum machines, and mysterious vocalisations. The kind of thing that would appeal to fans of Suicide, Cabaret Voltaire, Exek, and Total Control’s synth-led excursions.
