Eddie Marcon - Yahho no Potori LP

Featuring past members of LSD March and Coa, Eddie Marcon’s latest record takes a decidedly softer and twee-er approach to contemporary Japanese psychedelic music. Replete with finger-picked guitars, cymbal washes, and distinctively lullaby-like vocal melodies, there’s something of Maher Shalal Hash Baz’s hazy psych folk in there with extended woodwind arrangements but without the built-in amateurism, or even Wee Tam era Incredible String Band and Vashti Bunyan.
