A couple of early records from DAF are back in print! While I semi-regularly see their 3rd LP 'Alles Ist Gut' (an album I have nicknamed 'Düsseldorf's Oily Boys'), this is my first time with their 2nd album 'Die Kleinen und die Bösen' (The Small and the Evil).
While there's no iconic single à la 'Der Mussolini', as a whole I like this one more. 60% Conny Plank produced studio material, 40% raunchy live stuff. Plonky, playful, rowdy and raw, hints at the rigid and powerful sound to come with a wild and loose foundations-of-industrial Throbbing Gristle/SPK feel.. - Nic
