One Man Against The World fully captures the sparkling creative relationship between reggae vocalist Gregory Isaacs and Roots DJ and producer Tappa Zukie, expanding on 1988's Red. The two Kingston-born figures, who each used the thriving musical communities to escape their harsh origins, also had shared experiences in both founding record labels – Isaacs' African Museum was the catalyst for their first collaboration, as a way of funding the imprint, and Tappa Records became the home for many of Isaacs' tracks featured here, including the urgent title track.
