Lothario is the visceral, razor-edged solo project of Melbourne's Annaliese Redlich, who creates punk anthems for the bored, horny, and reckless. Conceived in her bedroom in November 2022, Lothario's music is a raw outpouring of late-night hedonism, encapsulating themes of sex, conflict, and rebellion. Redlich's songwriting is a cathartic exploration of betrayal, booze, boyfriends, and bullies - offering a momentary escape from self-doubt and vulnerability. Her music challenges listeners to confront their demons and seize their power.

Lothario's inception was marked by a lo-fi immediacy, with Redlich recording all the instruments, except drums, in her living room. The result is an urgent, desperate menace that resonates through her lyrics and soundscapes. The songs are love letters to losers, filled with an unfiltered intensity that invites listeners to rage until daybreak.

Redlich debuted Lothario live in March 2023, initially performing solo with just her laptop. By June 2023, Lothario had evolved into a full band, amplifying the project's raw energy on stage but still remains predominantly a solo project to this day.

The current live lineup includes Shauna Boyle (Cable Ties, Leatherman), Elsa Birrel (Shove), Jay Power, and Al Hall (Cutters). Former members who contributed to the project's early live shows include Billiam, Sarah Hardiman (Brick Head, Deaf Wish, Lou), Moose (Rat Bait, The Uglies), and Lach Smith (Revv, Billiam and the Split Bills).

Lothario quickly gained traction, selling out singles through labels such as Goodbye Boozy, Under The Gun, and Wintergarden. Following a successful 23-date USA tour in October and November 2023, Lothario is set to conquer Europe in October and November 2024, booked by Wildwax.
