Remember that Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode where the cast inhale a toxic gas that turns them inside-out and they wind out the episode with a little showtune number? That’s kinda like what the first LP from correspondence punks 3D & The Holograms is like!

Split between Sydney and Olympia, Washington, the trio features members of Research Reactor Corps, Gee Tee, Tee Vee Repairmann, Mainframe, and The Gobs (and whose short-lived live iteration in Sydney earlier this year featured members of RMFC, Questmaster, and Steroid) playing breakneck speed (at times synthy) punk that trudges through the futuristic Robocop-esque AI controlled horrors, trash, and mediation of the present/future with humour and cartoonishness but without taking those realities lightly.

If ya don’t trust my word and want a stamp of approval from a reputable music writing masthead, one Maximum Rock’n’Roll writer described it as “what GG Allin wishes he sounded like” and the group got the Big Indie tick of approval with a very solid 7.0 from Pitchfork.

Pretty flash package from NYC’s Roachleg records here, with three colour variants for the cover, along with lyric sheet, flyer, and jumbo newsprint poster.

(Sleeve colours are more pastel/washed out then what they appear in previews. Purple is closer to a light blue, orange closer to pink)
