A better time than now to release a tape recorded in 2014? I think not. HooK//Up was a literal hookup between Sam Karmel and Timothy D. 2 friends who have (for various reasons) deeply inspired me over the years. Sam Karmel is probably most known for his current duo CS+Kreme (with Conrad Standish) maybe even F Ingers BUT for me the real magic was his part in the absurd meandering of the late Bum Creek. Much from the same strange tap of Canberran improvisational water is Timothy D. An audio visual artist with one of the most powerful, singular and unique voices in the Australian underground. To me the magic in both Tim and Sam is their response to environment ~ live and improvised ~ and thats exactly what we get with HooK//Up. A suite of 4 tracks that burn hot and heavy. A loose ride jam dance in 4 parts. It's good and I have found it to get better with each listen.
