With a sound firmly rooted in Discharge-inspired hardcore, KOS doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but the members’ experience shows through in their ability to carry the sound forward without slavishly copying what’s come before. Through the straightforward pounding of “Deception,” the nimble riffing of “Rotten Lies,” and the anthemic stomp of “Anguished Misery,” KOS sounds like the musical equivalent of the killing technologies they sing about, efficiently and totally pulverizing everything in their path.
