Track 1. RAIN

Extreme weather in Australia, perpetual La Nina (for 3 yrs) led to the flooding of river systems across the whole continent throughout 2022. People were losing homes & contents, stock and livelihoods.

Lismore is a town in the eastern state of Australia, New South Wales. It intersects two rivers of the Northern Rivers system. The First Nations people are collectively known as the Bundjalung Nation.

This was Lismore's worst flood on record which killed five people, left more than 4000 homes uninhabitable and wiped out nearly every business in town.

Inspired by the survivors response to devastation and loss, and the tattoo artwork of Lismore resident and friend, Caspah Bachelor. I wanted to offer up this track and song.

The album RAIN is a tribute to the town of Lismore, post code 2480, Year 2022.

Torrential Defiance has been displayed by the local Lismore Community as they stay and rebuild their houses and township in the knowledge of further extreme weather to come.

Shovel, machine and brain noise phases through the backwash of clean up.

Marathon rain floods our zone like an unwanted war. Support systems of man fail and extremes kick into the red.
