Mordecai - Neil's Generator LP

I’ve gone on the record calling MORDECAI’s ‘Neil's Generator’ one of my favourite LPs of the 2010s. Revisiting Butte, Montana’s answer to the entirety of US underground rock history, I stand by that statement. As I’ve previously said, “The way in which Mordecai embraces their idiosyncrasies makes their music feel especially pure and deep…They manage to make seemingly disparate groups from the rich tapestry of North American counter-cultural rock make complete sense side by side, e.g. the Velvet Underground, Urinals, Mike Rep, Grateful Dead, Meat Puppets.”
