I do most of my sound work in headphones, and I'm always drawn to small, subtle sounds and try to bring them into the light. I had the thought to make an album where the sound sources feel close around the listener, say, if the listener was sitting inside a small glass dome. Instead of stuffed animals, birds or other curiosities, you'd be surrounded by bright spots of light or dark, dusty corners. Just behind your head, something is giving you a sound picture, while another is suspended right above you. If I succeeded in creating such illusions, everything you hear will be under your hat. - skipism
