Jai Morris-Smith (Exek) and Michael Grossman's (Den) Curious Music is a refreshing and particularly untypical sounding release from post-punks/rockers spreading their wings.
Not at all jazz fusion but the playfulness in their treated guitars, smudging their axes into shapes resembling other instruments, brought to mind electric Miles and just-before-Headhunters Herbie Hancock in a roundabout way. Imagine Phil Manzanera pitching an album to Eno's Obscure Records Ltd.
