Caroline No - Caroline No LP

Really been enjoying listening to the latest Caroline No album in the shop lately and hearing customers make the connection between Caroline Kennedy’s current project and her previous work with Deadstar. 

Here she’s backed by Ian Wadley (Mad Nanna, Small World Experience), Dee Hannan (Xylouris Ensemble), Mick Turner and Jim White (both from Dirty Three and a ton of other groups…) who as a group play the tracks as though the songs flow out of them. There’s a forward momentum to the album that pulls you in and carries you along through crafted pop tracks with a similar melancholic tone to The Garbage & The Flowers that ramble and spill into freer sections but still maintain a lyrical eye to the details of the everyday.
